Introduction

Quantum computation is a novel computation model established upon principles of quantum mechanics, and has nonpareil supremacy over classical computation model in such applications as cryptoanalysis, quantum simulation, big-data processing, artificial intelligence, etc. The realization of quantum computer in the near future proposes big challenges to computer science, computer mathematics, and information security. It remains an open problem whether quantum computer exceeds classical computer in computation ability to such an extent that some NP complete problems have bounded-error quantum polynomial algorithms. After 30 years exploration, the number of efficient quantum algorithms is still small.

The International Workshop on Quantum Computation and
Cryptoanalysis (QCCA 2017) is a new forum focusing on the

interaction between quantum computation and cryptoanalysis. QCCA
2017 is organized by the Academy of Mathematics and Systems
Science of the Chinese Chinese Academy of Sciences, and will be
held in Beijing, China from October 30 to November 3, 2017.
